Use our tips to navigate our wide array of Nike and Jordan baseball/softball footwear and find the pair that’s made for you.
For years, Canadian ballplayers have been longing for a better Nike baseball cleats selection north of the border. Well, we’re happy to report that after three years of hard lobbying, the leading footwear brand has finally recognized Baseball Town for the industry force it has been for over a decade.
Nike being the giant it is often creates gaps in automated distribution systems when it comes to scouting specialized retailers. Even as a leading Canadian baseball and softball retailer, Baseball Town remains a specialized, independent entity operating mainly in a small market country.
In a nutshell, for years, we were squarely in Nike’s blind spot.
So, we made the decision to meet face-to-face with regional reps to introduce Baseball Town—what we do, who we serve, and why Nike cleats deserved a place on our display walls and website.
In this brave new world of AI and algorithms, we had to bring things back to basics: humans talking to humans. Their ears perked up. Conversations turned into conviction. And eventually, Nike agreed that Nike x Baseball Town would be a match made in business heaven.
In late 2024, Nike officially accepted our first baseball footwear booking. To our—and especially our customers’—delight, the first Nike baseball cleats landed in our stores in July 2025.
Nike’s reputation for stylish, high-performance footwear has been built over 53 years of innovation. The mid-80s saw the rise of a basketball superstar so influential that Nike launched an entirely new brand around him—complete with a logo that became instantly iconic: Jordan.
Fast-forward to today, and we’re proud to present the latest Nike and Jordan baseball cleats for the 2025-26 season.
Elite baseball players need cleats that respond instantly—maximum traction, elite breathability, long-lasting durability, and all-game comfort. That’s it.
Metal baseball cleats deliver unmatched grip on dirt, clay, and natural grass, making them the top choice for competitive players. Nike’s premier metal lineup includes:
Alpha Huarache Elite 4 Low
An evolution of Nike’s minimalist performance philosophy, the Huarache Elite 4 sits on an aggressive, athletic angle. Its two-piece molded outsole anchors a responsive 9-cleat metal pattern that reacts instantly whether you’re sprinting, hitting, or fielding.
A generous foam midsole provides exceptional comfort around the bases, while the internal strap system delivers a locked-in, custom fit. Strategically placed Achilles padding secures the heel—an underrated detail that directly impacts performance.
Diamond Showcase
Built for players who prioritize lightweight feel and breathability, the Diamond Showcase stands apart immediately thanks to its thick layer of shock-absorbing foam that pairs with a breathable mesh upper. Its Dynamic Fit System lacing adapts to virtually any foot shape.
Notably, the Diamond Showcase features the widest forefoot in Nike’s metal cleat lineup. A full-length outsole plate, lowered midsole, and reduced toe spring create a stable, torsion-free ride that keeps you connected to the ground.
Diamond Standout MTL
The Diamond Standout MTL bridges the gap between the two models above. A two-piece plate outsole like the Huarache adds responsiveness, while a stiffer midfoot plate improves stability during sharp cuts.
Its reinforced mesh upper keeps weight down—lighter than the Huarache, but more structured than the Showcase—making it the ideal compromise for all-around performance.
Jordan Baseball Cleats
On the Jordan side, Jordan 1 Retro Baseball Cleats are available in both low-cut and high-top versions inspired by the legendary basketball silhouette.
Durable faux leather uppers, lateral overlays, plush foam midsoles, and full-plate outsoles deliver comfort and stability—wrapped in unmistakable mid-80s Jordan swagger brought to baseball by a certain basketball legend turned ballplayer.
Choose your metal cleats:
For youth baseball, softball players, or anyone who prefers molded traction, Nike TPU cleats offer outstanding performance without metal spikes.
High-End TPU Models
TPU plastic delivers strong grip on most surfaces, with metal still outperforming it in wet or dry, dense conditions. Aside from stud material, the Elite 4 Low and Diamond Showcase mirror their metal counterparts.
The Diamond Standout MCS combines a split-plate outsole with a responsive Air Zoom forefoot unit, offering Nike’s best TPU balance of flexibility and speed—perfect for basepath burners.
The Alpha Huarache NXT MCS features a high-top knit bootie for a lightweight, sock-like fit with ankle protection. Reinforced overlays and extra padding shield against cleats and foul balls alike.
Value-Driven TPU Options
Priced just right, the Force Trout 9 Pro offers a very light mesh upper while the Diamond Gamer features a generous light foam midsole and a synthetic upper. Both mid-price point TPU cleats deliver season-long durability, reinforced with Nike’s Drag-On toe overlay. Ideal for rec players and weekend warriors who still want dependable performance all season long.
Jordan TPU Cleats
The Jordan 1 Retro MCS (High & Low) maintain the same synthetic leather uppers as the metal versions but add more colorways—perfect for younger players where metal is restricted and style matters (a lot!).
Women’s-Specific Cleats
Nike’s Hyperdiamond 4 Pro MCS is engineered specifically for women’s feet, featuring a tapered heel, refined forefoot shape, and lower ankle bone placement. Available in five clean, stylish colorways, it delivers elite performance with unmistakable confidence.
Rubber Baseball Cleats
Rubber cleats offer enhanced comfort and flexibility at a lower price point. These shoes will barely make a dent in the family budget.
Youth Baseball Cleats
Rubber cleats are perfect for kids learning the game. They keep the cost down and are easier on young joints than grippier TPU cleats.
Youth versions of the following Nike models are available:
Jordan offers the Jordan 1 in Mid and Low options
Perfect for training, coaching, or players who find cleats uncomfortable, Nike turf shoes deliver premium feel and versatility.
The Nike Air Diamond Varsity Turf shoes immediately stand out with their stitched Swoosh, durable rubber forefoot overlays, and stable midsole construction. A well-studded rubber outsole grips artificial surfaces, while the rocker-shaped sole ensures smooth transitions.
Plush midsole foam absorbs impact during intense workouts, and a soft collar provides ankle comfort without restricting mobility—ideal for drills, cages, or long training sessions.
